The Czech Republic considers stabilization in the Balkans one of the key tasks in ensuring stability in Europe. We believe that the engagement of all countries of the region in mutually beneficial cooperation and their integration into a wider Europe will contribute to the reconstruction and stabilization in the Balkans.
The Czech Republic wants to follow up not only the long-lasting friendship with the nations of the region but also wants to make good use of the rich experience of Czech firms which participated in the development of the energy industry in countries of South East Europe.
We continue to regard the energy field in South East Europe a priority and therefore look forward to working in the future both with representatives of the European Commission, partners in the Stability Pact and the Donors Group, and representatives of the countries of the region of South East Europe.
